So after showing you pics of my making flapjacks, its only fair I show you the results

Orlith’s birthday was the 9th of March this year, and she turned one. I never got around to shooting a birthday shoot for her, so finally today I managed to break out the hats, bake some bran muffins, and of course, start taking photos.

RATANOOGA has a yearly calendar, so these were my 3 choices for submission. I hope one of them gets in!

So a good few weeks ago I entered 5 of my photos into a local photo competition and today I found out I came in second! Ok, so its not first place, and I was bummed at not winning first place (I never win anything haha) but I’m still proud with 2nd place!

Then, on closer inspection, I found it came with a prize of R200!! Yay! That money will probably be used for something mundane like my cellphone bill, given my latest financial status, but at least its something, and for that, I’m thankful!

Bonnie, Badger & Enya

Today was spent photographing a friend’s pack of dogs: Bonnie, Badger & Enya.

It was a hot, sunny day, so location proved to be bit of a hassle as there was very few spots of shade for us to play but we did what we could, the dogs taking frequent water breaks (which I later knelt in all the dribbled puddles. Sigh. All in a day’s work hehe).

The dogs were great, very well trained, if not too well trained. They never took their eyes off their beloved, but still gave me some awesome shots. Enya is the most recent addition to the pack, having being rescued from DARG. She’s around 6 years old and has the most adorable temperment and really landed with her bum in the butter with her family!
